I'm starting to get pretty excited...  Next Wednesday can't come soon enough!

This is all fine and well, but the themes business still irks me.

All the themes I have seen are ruined by the big blog at the bottom.  The pages that blog is not on there are big boxes in the middle so again, 75% of the picture is hidden.

Is there going to be any scheme to refund people for themes that are effectively no longer any use?  Or are you going to update all the old themes so we simply re-download them and they fit properly?

@Alex Atkin UK: Yeah, that's the one thing I don't like about the NXE; that your themes are pretty much useless now. No matter what menu you go into, you'll only ever see about 50% of your theme at the most.

By the way, what do you mean "fit properly"? Its not the size of the themes that's the problem, its the fact that they're usually covered up by something, whether it be the big blob on the main menu or the big grey boxes that pop up in every other menu.

Good news. Kudos to all the teams who worked to bring us this. I can't wait until Wednesday.

I would say good work to the gs bloggers but you didn't actually do any of the work. But good work to all those that did.

Is there an official 'What got cut from the initial NXE update' list?

Im curious as to what we're getting the 19th vs what we've been told NXE will bring us..

@Mjo A lot of folks at Gamescore blog do work at the building, in the rooms and with the people that keep the Xbox Live service running and keep the Xbox business going strong. They also have a lot more stuff to do away from Gamerscore blog in their jobs.

@No Pulse. Every single OS is like that.  They start with a huge list of pie in the sky stuff and as the project evolves the product get more shaped as it gets close to the final release target. Look at all the stuff that was supposed to be in Windows Vista.

The biggest change to the NXE is the underlining change to the system that is going to allow new feature applications like Netflix, Photo Parties and Primetime Live do Not have to be rolled out in a total system update but they can be worked on and released in smaller more frequent releases.

I can’t wait until my friends list populates with Avitars and I can finally show people photos of my LOLCatz via the Xbox.

First I get the 1000 achievement points in Fable 2!

Then I turn on my 360 and get prompted to update to the NXE!!!!!

Its like Xmas just watching the thing update….
