Richard over at X3F posted that there is a special version of Xbox 360 Fanboy that is formatted special for the iPhone.  Hopefully Destructoid, Kotaku, Ars Technica, Joystiq, and every other site I read follow suit. *hint hint*

At PAX this past weekend, I saw Knuckles Dawson who had his iPhone skinned in the Xbox circles for a mere $7.

As a recent sell-out hipster who took the plunge this past weekend, I wanted to point out a few of the ways I stay connected to my Xbox, my friends list, my gaming on the iPhone.

Applications I Dig (non-games)

  • 1337pwn - Nelson mentioned this app several months ago. It allows you  to add your XBL friends and keep tabs on things like how close you are to over-taking Tony in gamerscore. (AppStore)
  • Twinkle - My preferred Twitter app for the iPhone (AppStore)
  • Facebook - We all know what this is
  • Dice Bag - Not the same as throwing down a d20 to attack, but I don't have time to play D&D anyway
  • Sportacular - I got stats as my NY Giants whooping the Redskins last night (AppStore)
  • Jott - Speak your thought, have it sent back to you, can even post to Twitter vocally! (AppStore)
  • Whrrl - See what places (restaurants, parks, stores) your friend like and hate
  • QuickPoints - Having gone from 270 to 210 using Weight Watchers, this is an easy point calculator (AppStore)
  • iLightr - I use this in my Guitar Hero and Rock Band sessions (AppStore)
  • Shazam - Using this app, I found out that the Crackdown Achievement video soundtrack was Sequenced Lives by Neon Cage Experiment off of the Interbreeding VIII CD. (AppStore)

Home Screen Bookmarked Websites

  • Xbox - Mobile version of Xbox.com that will start to feature content created by a certain community team you may know
  • Joystiq - iPhone formatted version of Joystiq (thanks Shafnitz for pointing out)
  • gReader - I have over 100 gaming news feeds, and now I can keep up on them everywhere I go
  • Flickr - I can keep tabs on the photos that Diva takes at all our events
  • Metacritic - So I can stand in line for dinner and yell "Shadowrun and Too Human scored 66?  Metacritic be damned!  Everyone is crazy but me!"
