Tony and I headed out to San Francisco yesterday to get some video coverage of the Games for Windows "Big Picture" event at our home-away-from-home Dogpatch Studios.

You have seen the press release and the letter from John Schappert by now, and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the games.  I was able to sneak a glimpse of Bionic Commando over the shoulders of two techs, and I have to say - those 7.4 seconds of game play looked pretty pimp.

We are shooting interviews today (remember the community questions you submit to me back-in-the-day for G4W Senior Director Kevin Unangst - seen below rollin' up his sleeves) as well as some game overviews if time permits.  I know everyone wants to see what Call of Duty and Ghostbusters are shaping up to be.

The place looks great, and it's crazy to see just how much gear, and manpower it takes to set up a venue for a show of this size.  The movie theme was apparent as they have old-school black-and-white films running on the walls - it all looks great.  I wish the popcorn and hot pretzel machines were running last night.  The thought that people will be eating untested hot pretzels today made my last night's slumber a little restless.

After setup we went to eat at House of Nanking in a pretty interesting part of town.  Ryan Moore, one of the guys we were with described the bathroom as something straight out of the movie Saw, but it was the best Chinese food I ever had.

All the photos from the event can be found on our Flickr site.
