Tired of Lame Achievements? Help Make Them for Ninja Gaiden 2

Do you find that when you unlock an achievement on the Xbox 360 you get angry at the uninspired achievement art/name/description/lack of gamerscore/difficulty? If so, we have the perfect solution for you - help make an achievement for an upcoming Xbox 360 title!

The guys over at Team Ninja are interested in what you would do for an achievement in Ninja Gaiden 2.

Post your suggestions (including name, possible artwork, gamerscore, and description) in the comments for this blog post. The deadline is January 24th... You have 10 days...

Viral ones are always cool: (Ninja gaiden have multiplayer?)

Guillotine - 10GP - Decapitate someone with this achievement in online play.

And ones that make you do things you wouldn't normally do:

Fine arts - 50GP - Complete the game using only the wooden stick. (If something like that is in NG2) (or long ranged weapons if needed.)

I have played Ninja Gaiden 1, black and sigma, Love the series and cant wait for NG2 :D

I hope its just as hard as the games before, and the acheivements also, Dont wanat people to get an easy 1000 GS and get frustrated with the game and just leave it aside, Hope when you complete the game it unlocks something thats worth going back to play through for, not just another costume.

50 hit Combo - (20GS) - Get a 50 hit combo.

True Master Ninja - (100GS) - Complete every chapter with the result of "Master "Ninja".

Hope Temco do another great job and look foward to NG2 :D

Busy Body(15gp)- Use every single weapon/magic attack on the final boss in the game. Art could be a montage of every weapon somehow squeezed into that box on a backdrop of the magic elements.

Hmm, I love me some Ninja Gaiden so I'll have to come up with more later; but for starters I'll submit these:

Whet Your Blade (34 GS): Perform 11 cinematic kills (not just regular kills!) in a row.

Dance The Wurm (15 GS): Manage to not touch the ground during combat for 15 seconds.

Back to the Dojo (-5 GS): Die at the hands of the first enemy you encounter on Level 1.

I know the 3rd one is a negative value... is it possible to DECREASE your gamerscore with an achievement? I imagine there is a restriction, but nobody's said anything like it so I'm just throwing it out there.

OK, last one:

River of Blood (34 GS): Kill enough enemies to turn the river red (assuming there is a river in the Venice looking level).

Ha, thought of some more:

Paging Dr. Hayabusa To Surgery (34 GS): Sever 34 limbs or heads in 34 seconds.

Japanese Papercut Torture (9 GS): Cut 9 enemies without killing any of them before finishing all of them.

As you can no doubt tell, I really like the odd GS point counts. I always hated the intervals of 5 that are often the fall back values. Lazy Lazy Lazy. And 34 is my lucky number... that's why it's in there so much.

Eeeey lets get some original ones eh?

I wont be too specific but I'd like to see some "kill this boss with that weapon" style ones.

I loved the old NG bosses, they was always so original, great to fight and tough. Some of the best boss battles around and I'd like to see some achievements that asked for variety in that area.

Perhaps one involving kicking some dudes head around, like a game of football. :P "Kick 10 heads into the river" or something silly along those lines. I've always liked the stupid ones that get you doing something you wouldn't usually do.

I could go on, but lets end it with a hard one: Complete the entire game without saving.

15G - It's only a Flesh Wound: All limbs dismembered.

50G - Chuck Norris is proud: Roundhouse kick a beheaded foe.

30G - Blistering fingers: 100-hit combo.

5G - Head Dasher: Jump on the heads of at least 3 enemies before touching the ground.

all i can think of at the moment.

would definitely like achievements for pulling off insane combos or finishing a combo with a sweet finishing charge attack.

also, the crazy 88 idea mentioned above is awesome

Pinprick - Finish off/kill 20 enemies using only the shirukens.

Death from Above - Make every kill in a level an aerial one.

Bring it - Kill 3 enemies without taking a step. (Maybe of a certain type. They should probably be able to do grabs and be fast so this would be challenging).

A Tale of Souls and Swords - Use ultimate techniques charged by essence to kill 50 enemies in a single strike.

Honestly I enjoy coming up with the names more than the actual achievements.

Never Seen It Coming - Silently kill X amount of enemies from behind.

True Ninja - Kill X amount of enemies with X amount of Weapons/Techniques. (proving the mastery of all weapon/technique use, ie. shuriken eye/headshots)

Multi player mode

Sprees - Master the Killing sprees only with the use of different weapons/techniques

Mud in your eye - Spray blood in an opponents eyes with the killing of another so that they go blind for a moment ( or variations of this)

I think mostly the achievements should be for doing certain things in game such as alot of the examples above (kill x amount of enemies in x amount of time blah blah).

What I would like to see is achievements (for at least 20g's each) for beating each level on the hardest difficulty and of course another one for beating the game on the hardest difficulty.

Having an achievement per level for the highest difficulty is alot better than just one since each level is highly challenging and deserved to be rewarded if beaten imo.

Also an achievement for beating the game on each difficulty is a must have too. (as in, one for the first difficulty, one for the second ect...)

*EDIT*Achievement: Variety is Deadly- Kill every enemy type (excluding bosses) using every weapon in the game (25g) *EDIT*

(Which means kill a Cat Demon with the Dragon Sword then kill the same type of enemy with another weapon until you've killed that certain enemy type with every weapon if I wasn't clear enough)

Way of the Samurai-go through the game using only the dragon-sword (katana), and bow/arrows. Pic would be a sword (20GP).

TMNT-beat the game only using the staff, dragonsword, nunchuka, and shuriken (would include sais, but not in the game?). pic would be a TMNT thing, (10GP).

You reap what you sew: Kill 1,000 enemies using the scythe. Pic would be a scythe (15gp).

I don't have a specific achievement I'd like to see but what I would like to see would be 1,000 achievements worth 1 point each. Ninja Gaiden has a history of being brutal and that would fit the game's image quiet well.

So many cool yet challenging achievements possible.

Pressure Sensor Floor : Stay off the ground for 2 minutes while still progressing. (20 Points)

Weapon Master : Do not hit two enemies in a row with the same weapon. (30 Points)

Born To Be Wild : Finish level with claws without blocking. (40 Ponts)

Suck It Up : Finish level maintaining less then 10% health. (60 Points)

Waiting For Christmas : Hold block for more then 10 seconds (1 point :P)

This Is My Boomstick : Finish first boss using fire ninpo. (20 Points)

Next Time You Primitives Even Touch Me : Allow all enemies on screen to hit you ONLY once before finishing them all off. (50 Points)

I should point out that I was serious; there should be an achievement for killing a boss with a guitar hero peripheral, because you can't be a Ninja unless you wail on a guitar.

Achievement: Slice off every removable body part 200 times.
Picture: A person with just his body, head, and one arm trying to fight.

Name: Aren't You Tired Yet? (15 GS)
Achievement: Take 10,000 steps.
Picture: A person or figure kneeling over with his hands on his thighs while panting.

Name: Mankabob (15 GS)
Achievement: Impale your enemies 200 times.
Picture: A person holding a staff with some kind of body part on the end of it.

Name: Ninja N00b (10 GS)
Achievement: Complete your training.
Picture: A little ninja getting ready to attack a bigger ninja.

Name: Neat Freak (20 GS)
Achievement: Clean the blood from your weapon 300 times.
Picture: Show a ninja outside near a bunch of dead bodies with blood everywhere wearing some kind of cleaning outfit and him using a vacuum cleaner along with some brushes, dust pans, Swiffer!, etc. to clean it up.

Thats all I got for now. Im not trying to get into story and level achievements or anything. Just kinda random fun achievements.

Well Done Ninjaburger (10gp) - Die by being sliced up by two bad guys at once. Then die to fire based attacks. The two deaths have to be consecutive.

Meat Catapult (20gp) - Launch any body part more than 50 meters.

Norris Is Next (30gp) - Finish any level on any difficulty only using fully charged heavy attacks.

Real Ultimate Power (50gp) - Complete the last level without blocking, dying, or saving.

Dear Team Ninja,

For an achievement how about something related to ninja gaiden black, like having beat NGB on the xbox 360 (which would mean more sales of said game for tecmo ;) ).

Keep doing a great job AND PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.... do a collector's edition that includes some kick ass figure like Capcom did with Lost Planet robot figure. And PLEASE, don't give us "makings of," people want to see things from the game, never released art or footage that's important to the gamer. How about a CD with the soundtracks of both NG games??

Team Ninja, is there a way to get some feedback to you guys??? How can fans interact with you if your site is all in Japanese? I just have to say this, include TECH-ROLLING, like in DOA4 to reduce damage, and make the game even deeper.
