Chris got a chance to sit down and try out a set of drums from Ion.  Of course, he had to try them out on Expert, but did a great job until the very end. 

[Update by Chris] - So I tried out these drums, and they are amazing.  They are VERY quiet, and they feel like real drums. I had difficulty adjusting to the placement of the cymbals.  The cymbals are mirrors of the drums - meaning there is a green tom, and a green cymbal - you can hit either one.

Although I expect to be ridiculed for failing, I failed out of a song I can normally beat every time for a variety of reasons including the drums being too low (I would make my drum throne a little higher), the music not being loud enough (I had difficulty hearing the song in the noisy show-floor), and not being used to the cymbal placement.

All-in-all, I need a set of these things...  No price or date announced.
