So you've seen the previous post, Cheapy D was gracious enough to invite me to attend Sumo with him, and the Brians from Kotaku.

We had a blast - but the "box seats" were not meant for large American bodies - although Crecente fit.  ;)

The sumo arena is sacred, and they have a series of rituals they do pre-fight which I honestly didn't understand, but the fighting was amazing.  We even had a woman try and "rush the stage" before getting grabbed by security.  She had a HUGE handful of papers, and Brian Crecente suggested that it may be a paternity suit.

To answer the unasked question - yes - there was some E. Honda style 100 hand slaps...  I couldn't help but smile as all of us in the booth yelled "Huh huh huh huh huh" (the sound from SF2 when Honda did the 100 hand attack).

A great time was had by all - except for the guys who were thrown off the platform.

Thanks Cheapy D, Brian Crecente, and Brian Ashcraft!

Flickr pics continue to be updated, and I am goign to try and get some show floor photos up today/tonight.  (Today for me here in Japan, tonight for you in the states.)
