THE MICROSOFT XBOX LIVE ARCADE TRIVIA SWEEPSTAKES
OFFICIAL RULES
1. ELIGIBILITY:
Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Microsoft Corporation and any person engaged to work on this promotional program and their respective affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, promotion, advertising and promotional agencies and each of their immediate family members (including mother, father, sister, brother, child, husband or wife) and those living in their households are not eligible to enter or win.
2. ENTRY PERIOD:
The Sweepstakes opens at 12:01 AM Pacific Time (PT) on January 31, 2007, and ends at 11:59 PM PT on February 6, 2007 (“Entry Period”).
3. HOW TO ENTER:
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
There are two ways to enter; online or via mail.
To enter online, navigate to the Xbox Live Trivia Sweepstakes Blog (“Blog”) online at http://www.gamerscoreblog.com anytime during the Entry Period. On the Blog web page, you will be presented with three (3) Xbox Live Arcade related questions. (HINT: You can find the answers to these questions by downloading and playing the free trial versions of the Xbox Live Arcade games referenced in the questions on Xbox Live). To receive one (1) entry into this Sweepstakes, you must submit an e-mail to arctriv@microsoft.com by the close of the Entry Period with the following information:
• A valid Xbox Live Gamertag (NOTE: An Xbox Live Gamertag can be created for free at: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live)
• The e-mail address tied to your Xbox Live Gamertag
• Correct answers to all three (3) Xbox Live Arcade related questions.
To enter by mail without answering the Xbox Live Arcade related questions, hand-print your name, address, city, state, ZIP code, phone number and e-mail address (if any) on a 3x5 piece of paper and mail to:

Mail entries must be postmarked by February 7, 2007, and received by February 12, 2007, to be eligible for entry.
Limit one (1) entry per person, Xbox Live gamertag and email address, regardless of the entry method. Subsequent entries from the same individual, Xbox Live Gamertag and email address will be automatically disqualified. Void where prohibited by law.
The use of automated devices to enter Sweepstakes is prohibited. No responsibility is assumed by Microsoft for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, postage due or illegible entries or any computer, online telephone, or technical malfunctions that may occur. All ENTRIES BECOME THE PROPERTY OF MICROSOFT AND WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
4. WINNER SELECTION/PRIZES:
On or around February 13, 2007, 100 winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received win 1000 Microsoft Points.
Random drawing will be conducted under the supervision of Microsoft, whose decisions are final. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Limit one (1) prize per person, Xbox Live Gamertag and e-mail address. No substitution, transfer, or assignment of prize permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event an offered prize is unavailable. Taxes on the prizes are solely the responsibility of the winner. Any and all guarantees and warranties for merchandise prizes are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions, and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty or guarantee claim.
5. GENERAL CONDITIONS:
Sweepstakes entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of Microsoft which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States. In the event of a dispute, the laws of the State of Washington govern the interpretation of these official rules.
Winners will be notified within seven (7) days after the drawing date. Winners may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within seven (7) days following the date of attempted notification. Non-compliance within this time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Return of any prize/ prize notification as undeliverable or failure to accept prize within the specified time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Entrants further grant to Microsoft the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print in any other media in connection with this Sweepstakes. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Microsoft to use winner's names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Microsoft, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Sweepstakes or any prize won.
6. INTERNET:
If for any reason the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Microsoft which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Microsoft reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Sweepstakes. In any such event, Microsoft, at its discretion, will select the winner(s) from eligible non-suspect entries received prior to the event requiring such termination, suspension or cancellation. Microsoft assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Microsoft is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by Microsoft on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Entries made by Internet will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.
7. WINNERS LIST:
For a list of winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Xbox Live Arcade Trivia Sweepstakes, One Microsoft Way, Mil-B/1018, Redmond, WA 98052. Requests received after April 13, 2007, will not be fulfilled.
