I'll Be Home for X(box)-Mas
A few months ago I moved from Cleveland Ohio to Seattle Washington in order to take a job with the Xbox Community Team. This holiday season was difficult for my wife and I because on top of it being the first Christmas we've had without snow, we were also away from our families for the first time in over 30 years for the holidays. Our families decided to give "Christmas via Xbox Live" a try using the Vision Camera as a substitute for all of us being together and opening presents.

While there is no substitute to spending time with your family and friends on the holidays, once you get over the odd/geeky/voyeuristic feeling of staring at the folks you know while they open presents, it ended up working out.
Everyone talks about how cell-phones cause cancer, video games are a bad influence, and we spend too much time plugged into technology - and not enough with people. Without technology like cell phones, and video game systems, I'm not sure how my family's first holiday apart would have gone.
From all of us at the Gamerscore Blog, I'd like to wish all of you a happy holiday season. Be safe, have fun, and spend time with the ones you care about - be it in person, OR online!
