Interview w/ video-to-board game designer Kevin Wilson
In addition to being avid video gamers, a few of us here in the Microsoft community team are also avid board gamers. (I'm especially excited for the upcoming Xbox Live Arcade version of Settlers of Catan!)

Those of you who are into boardgames may already know who Fantasy Flight Games designer Kevin Wilson is. If you are a fan of Kevin's games, or if you are curious about board game conversions of PC video games such as Warcraft 3, Doom, World of Warcraft, and the upcoming Starcraft board game, may want to check out this interview with board game designer Kevin Wilson, care of Infinity Games UK's blog.
The line that caught my attention in the interview was:
Also, you have to remember that you don’t have animations or sound effects to fall back on. Your game has to be exciting on a more tactile level, with 3D game pieces and face-to-face game play.
I've played some of these games (I enjoy the Doom board game quite a bit), and with the Games for Windows push coming, many upcoming Games for Windows titles will be more widely known. Maybe your favorite PC title will be playable away from the computer in the future.
The interview can be found here.
