On Monday night, we held an event in downtown New York City and San Francisco, to showcase our upcoming titles for the press and our community.  I took a few photos, and posted them on our Flickr site

Sara (Dirty Diva) and I were in New York, where Peter Moore took the stage to announce our partnership with movie and TV show providers, who will provide high def video content for Xbox Live Marketplace.  The service goes live on November 22.

We invited some members of our community, and we let them in early so they could get a chance to get their hands on the new games before the crowds hit.  We had representation from Gamertag Radio, MyGamercard.net, CheapAssGamer.com, AmpedNews.com, GamingSteve.com, Totally360.com, KnucklesDawson.com, PreGameLobby.com, TheXboxDomain.net, and others.

[Updates:
Kotaku caught Peter Moore trying out DDR.  He did amazingly well for a, well, corporate VP.
EvilAvatar's Nick (bapenguin) Puleo wrote up his impressions
Wayne Perry from Totally360.com posts some photos (and says thanks--you're welcome!)]

The XNA team was there, along with the Torq team from GarageGames.  They did some amazing demos, and showed just how far along XNA Game Studio Express, and the new Torq tools have come since GameFest.  Everyone loved how easy it was to make games on the spot, and play them on the Xbox 360.  Dave Mitchell tells me that the favorite over the course of the evening was a ninja tossing bombs on fish set to underwater rock scrollers and a shuriken filled backdrop.

The place filled up with media and guests, and soon the place was rockin'.

Peter Moore took the stage at about 9PM, and welcomed the crowd, and introduced digital movie and TV downloads, and did a quick demo.  [Update: Engadget posts a lot of pics from the demo]

We had our own special guest, Knuckles Dawson.  He was on Major Nelson's podcast a while back.  He got his Xbox 360 on Launch Day, and has recieved at least one Xbox Live Achievement every day since.  Last night was day 350, bringing his score to 33,333.  Peter Moore introduced him to the crowd last night.

At the end of the night, everyone there got a swag bag, with a tee shirt, a copy of Gears of War, and a wireless headset.  Wish I had one for each one of you...
