Lately I'm seeing some confusion surrounding the US release date of Gears of War - is it the 7th, or the 12th?

Let me clarify.  Gears of War will begin shipping to retailers in the US on November 7th.  It should start showing up in some stores by the 8th.

November 12th is "Emergence Day".  There are two big reasons for the 12th being Emergence Day.  Almost all US retailers should have the game in stores by then, and there will be some cool things going down on or around November 12th.

I'm very excited for this title, and I'm sure I'll see many of you guys online when the game releases.
