Xbox 360: We're Big in Taiwan
And Singapore. And Hong Kong.
On March 16, Xbox 360 launched in Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Folks on the Asia marketing team were nice enough to share photos with me (seeing as how I didn't get invited and all). Here’s a quick rundown of what happened:
Singapore invited MTV VJ Denise Keller and all sorts of gamers to an event at the Red Dot Gallery
Before that, they went to the IT Show, from the 9-12. About 23k folks stepped up and got to play 360.

Taiwan set up a group of Kiosks at the Kmall (if you live there, it's near the Taipei station). It's still going on, and here's what it looks like:

And Hong Kong had a huge midnight madness-type event

The team also put up a count-down clock at New Town Plaza. Look at the size of this Xbox:
It would only be better if it were made out of chocolate.
Sounds like we had a pretty sweet launch, so much so that productivity in Asia is expected to drop. Sweet.
(Thanks, Flammable Wheel for pointing me to the Hong Kong photos)
